My Sweet Jane
*She learned the word "me" then marched around all evening pointing proudly to her chest and saying "me! me!"
*Her new favorite thing is looking at her scrapbook. She will say "pit-cheese peeze" and then she'll make us look through her scrapbook pointing out every family member by name.
*The other day I was washing dishes and she pulled out an oven mitt from the drawer and went over to fridge and tried to pull the magnets off the fridge with the oven mitt on. When that didn't work, she took them off with her uncovered hand, placed them in the oven mitt hand, then threw them on the ground. Once they were all off, she went back to the drawer, took out another oven mitt, and swiped under the fridge to get the ones that had fallen under there. Here are two little videos of the event. I was laughing my head off!
*She was in the bath playing around and she loves to play with the faucet. Well, I guess she thought the faucet was so fun for her hands, that she decided to give her feet a try. She would grab her foot and try to put it up the faucet.
*At my last OB appointment we were in the room waiting for the doctor to come in and I asked Jane, "What does the baby say?" she didn't know so I made the whooshing sound of the Doppler and she started to laugh so I said, "and sometimes it's faster like this" and I did the whooshing sound faster. She laughed harder so I started laughing and we were both laughing our heads off when the doctor came in. When the doc found the baby's heartbeat with the Doppler I turned to Jane and said, "do you hear baby?" she nodded and started to laugh. "Is baby funny?" I asked. she nodded and we both busted up laughing!
*We have been trying to teach Jane that there is a baby in my tummy and she's actually caught on quite well. I'll say "where's mommy's baby?" and then she'll pat my tummy. For a while there, though, she would forget and pat my lady pillows. I'd get embarrassed and say, "no, those are my boobs" to myself and then take her hand and place it on my tummy. Well, kids catch on. Now she'll tap me on my pillows and say "boobs". I guess I need to watch what I say.
Poor Jane has been really sick the last 3 days but still manages to make us smile. We are so blessed to have her in our lives!
