Santa! I know him!! I know him!!!!!

We went to the 2nd annual Bassett family Christmas party this past weekend. Jane had fun playing with all of her cousins and got to meet the big man himself. . . SANTA!!!! He even brought her an early Christmas present--a baby cell phone (yeah, we're in trouble). She didn't cry the first time, but the second time seh sat on his lap she started to get uneasy and by the time we set her there for a third time, she had had enough. We are so excited for Christmas and for Santa to come. Holidays are so much more fun now that Jane is in our family!

A Very Festive Weekend

This past weekend we had some very festive activities. On Friday night we went with some families in our ward down to Temple Square to see the lights. We rode TRAX from the U downtown. It was Jane's very first time on the trains. She was such a good passenger! The lights were beautiful and there was definity the feeling of Christmas.

The next morning we woke up to snow!!!! A Christmas miracle for sure! It started slow and then picked up and by the time the sun had come up, we had a few inches!!! My parents came down and had breakfast and then we headed up to Heber to find a Christmas tree. We had fun looking at all the trees and the beautiful new snow. Jane was all bundled up and loved looking all around. When we got the tree bakc to the apartment, it was a bit too tall so Trent and my dad had to cut a little off the top and bottom to get it to fit.

Sunday night we were able to decorate our tree. Our house has a total of 800 little twinkle lights up so far. . .with maybe 200 more to come. We love the holiday season and have had a wonderful weekend wallowing in it!

Jane is 6 months old now! She can roll and sit up and loves to eat her rice cereal. We tried feeding her pears and squash. . .she didn't like that so much. :) We'll work on it. She got a "big girl" chair so she sits at the table with us now, which is nice.

Hi! Bassetts here! I thought we'd start a blog page instead of myspace. . . less sleazy characters lurking around, i hope. Well, Jane turned 4 months old last week! she is growing so fast! just last week she discovered her tounge, her toes, and figured out how to roll from her tummy to her back! what a smartie pants! At her 4 month check up she weighed 12 lbs 9 oz which is small for her age, but it turns out her head is large for her age so there you go. :)
